In this video, I’ll show you how to hide TV power cords and cables without drilling or cutting. This is a great way to declutter your living space and make your TV look more professional.
The first step is to gather your materials. You’ll need:
Old work electrical box
Electrical wiring (either 12 gauge or 14 gauge)
A utility knife or drywall saw
chisel or pry bar and hammer
electrical pliers
Once you have your materials, identify the location of your source outlet and the placement of your new outlet.
Run your wiring. Be sure to leave a little extra length so that you can make adjustments later if needed.
Make your connections and mount the outlets. Finally mount the TV.
That’s it! You’ve now successfully hidden your TV power cords and cables without drilling or cutting. This is a great way to declutter your living space and make your TV look more professional.
Tips
If you have a lot of cords, you may want to use multiple cable management boxes.
Consult your local building department and electrical inspectors to determine local code.
If you’re not sure how to cut the cords, you can ask a professional.
Be sure to test the cords before you hide them to make sure they work properly.
